You may start to notice that meetings are being held to which you haven’t been informed of the outcome. Make sure you get an idea of what’s been going on; especially if such meeting are out of the ordinary. Have you felt a little more scrutinised by your boss or manager? Do you feel that you are being watched to see whether you’re delivering what’s expected of you? An increased examination of your work could be a sign that you could be the next to go. A change, or re-organisation with the company’s structure, can normally mean that some positions could be in a vulnerable. Mergers, acquisitions and a re-organisation of the company’s structure can certainly assist the company, but is often at the expense of the employees. Be aware of the businesses current and future situation, and this will help you understand whether your job is at risk. |
